Advice To Contractors Who Were In Jail
Over the past two years I have had DOZENS of different conversations with contractors who were in jail.
For one reason or another, they have trusted me with their story and have reached out for my advice.
These calls have always been very tough for me because:
1. I have not gone through that experience myself
2. The heaviness of the conversation makes it clear that they are ready to do what I tell them, so I must tell them SOUND advice
3. I mostly work with contractors who are not in this situation
But really, who am I to give advice on this particular situation?
Wouldn't there be someone else more qualified?
Probably.
However, I have not found this person yet or found any good information online so I decided to tackle this myself.
And based on the feedback from these contractors, they have all found some value from my approach to this challenge.
Here is video of a full conversation that I have had with a contractor (who shall remain anonymous) who has lost nearly everything after violating a probation that forced him back in jail, and who has reached out to me just after being released.
He was gracious enough to allow this conversation to be recorded and shared since he personally saw it "extremely valuable" for other contractors who might be in this situation.
If you can relate this or know someone in the construction industry who might find this valuable feel free to share it.
I hope you find value:
